Winter Wonderland

Hello World! WOW October is here! You know what this means, the Holidays are just around the corner.  Right now I'm just trying to get my kiddos Halloween Customs together.  Hope I make it in time for their school Halloween Parade.

Today I created a snowy woodland card.  I live in sunny CA I don't get snow in the Bay Area, so making this card gave me a JOY that one day I'll wake up with a snowfall.... maybe.

Enough about me...Let's talk about this beautiful card.  All of the stamps and die sets are from Lawn Fawn (just love this company!).

Starting with the backdrop, the snowy backdrop die using white Neenah 80lb paper to cut out. On brown cardstock, die cut the Stitched Hillside Landscape Backdrop.  Such a cute set!  I just used the backdrop part to get the hillside.  To give the brown cardstock some snow, I added Yeti ink and using a dopper to tap onto the edges.  Stamped out from the Joy to the Wood set.  Using all Copic colors to the Fox, Chipmunk, and Cardinal.  The Birchwood I used cool Copic colors to give them some shadows.  Die cut the images with their coordinating dies.  Finally, used some adhesive, 3D foam tape, white gel pen for highlights, and glue to put the card together and some finishing touches.

It was a fun card to make and it got me into the mood for the holiday this year! Tis the season!  See you next time for the next card adventure.

I hope you enjoyed this card.  Thank you and have a great day!

It's been a while...What's New?!

Wow I can not believe it's been a year since I last wrote or post a Blog.  Let me tell you, it's been a rollercoaster ride.  The last part of 2019 I started a new job, which I had to reschedule our life! My older son started Kindergarten, now he's in First Grade and doing the full time virtual learning.  My other two kids started pre-K and pre-school.  It's been a trip! Than lots more changes when the New Year started; SIP, wearing mask everywhere you go, and not allowed to see anyone unless you stay or are 6 feet apart.  Fast forward a year! We are still living in the Pandemic. Trying to figure a whole new schedule balancing my older son's school.  Him trying to figure how to do school through the intranet, we as parents become the teacher (which I support, respect, and appreciate all what teachers so for our kids), and trying to understand why he can not see his friends at school.  On top of my husband and I decided for the first of the school ...

Winter Snow

Happy Monday everyone!! Winter is here and at the stretch end of all the holidays parties.  Today I'm sharing a Holiday Day Card of fun penguins playing in the snow. I started off Oxide Ink the background with blue tones, blending them is get a winter sky.  Using Versa Mark ink to white embossed the snowflakes, randomly stamp on the card.  Great way to show snow falling from the sky.  From the Lawn Fawn stamps toboggan together , using the penguins, sleigh, and gifts.  Coloring them using Copic colors.  Lastly, die cut white card stock using Lawn Fawn stitched hillside borders . Hope you enjoyed and thank you for stopping by my Blog today!  Please follow me:  Follow me on Instagram: DMA Made Design Check out my shop on Etsy: DMA Made, https://www.etsy.com/shop/DMAMade
